Powder Brows are another form of micropigmentation for the eyebrows. This technique is often referred to as shading which results in a "makeup look" and is performed using a PMU tattoo machine. The shading densities and styles are tailored to your preference and skin type and condition.
Short answer is YES. We strive to give you the most information and meet your expectations. We never rush our appointments. A consultation will give you the chance to discuss every question you have about your procedure with your artist as well as review your paperwork, go over any contraindications, preparation for the appointment (such as stop use of products) and your desired results.
Oily skin- can cause hairstrokes to be blurred or heal lighter Smoking/nicotine use: pigment fades much faster and healing is slower. Sun exposure: premature fading. As with any part of our skin we need sunscreen. This rings true for your brows also! Please purchase a sunscreen such as Color Guard that is for semi-permanent makeup. Age: Yes unfortunately as we get older our skin loses collagen, elasticity as well as pigment retention. Don't worry, that's what Top Ups are for!

We take all proper precautions for a safe session by using new disposable only products, disposable and sterilized needles and sanitized environment. Allergic reactions to the pigments are rare, it is possible and we cannot predict when an allergic reaction may occur. Additional complications include, asymmetry - although we make every effort to avoid this, keep in mind our faces are not symmetrical so adjustments may be needed during the follow-up session to correct any unevenness. Pigmentation loss can result from poor healing, infection, bleeding and not adhering to my aftercare instructions can all effect more than normal retention. Bruising or swelling is not common but can occur. Should you experience this, ice packs can help reduce swelling. Slight swelling should subside 3 days.
***Should you experience SEVERE swelling, please be seen by a medical professional and contact us after your appointment with your doctor***
MT Brow Bar uses numbing products with 4% lidocaine. Some clients do experience discomfort, but most report no pain or that it is very tolerable. Should you be concerned about pain, it is best to NOT schedule your appointment during menstruation as women tend to be more sensitive during this time.
100% YES. Touch ups are required at 8 weeks. This is a two-fold reason. The artist always likes to see healed work as each client heals differently. There is no way to predict how you heal as everyone's skin is different. Also the 1st touch up is included in your 1st session cost so there is nothing to lose! The touch-up session is often referred to as the Perfecting session because it is just that. Although rare, in some cases you may need an additional session to achieve desired results and will be charged accordingly.

Days 1-3 Brows are much darker and bolder. Can even appear warmer in color. Some redness and swelling is normal. Should you have major swelling or have any concerns please immediately contact your primary care physician. Ice can be applied to brow area to relieve any minimal swelling or discomfort. Days 4-12 Some flaking and scabbing may occur. DO NOT PICK OR SCRAPE THE TREATED AREA. Scabs that are removed prematurely will cause secondary scabbing and dramatically affects pigment retention. Brows may lose pigment temporarily called the ghosting phase. DO NOT panic. Your skin cycles through several phases before returning to normal. 4-8 weeks Brows are fully healed. Any areas that have loss of pigment will be addressed at your touch up as well as shape. Remember this is a 2-part process.
Depending on how your body heals and your desired look, it may be necessary to use makeup to achieve that result. Our goal is to give you the most natural results! Sometimes our bodies will reject the pigment, which can then effect the overall result, in addition the use of skincare, skin care treatments, skin type and lifestyle all play a role in the overall result. Remember Permanent Makeup is a LOW Maintenance treatment, NOT a NO maintenance one.
